Verification Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Trust is the foundation of disaster response. ArogyaRelief restricts access to sensitive requests (such as medical triage data and precise location information) to verified responder accounts. This policy outlines how different roles are verified before gaining elevated platform access.
1. NGOs and Relief Organizations
Organisations seeking NGO access must undergo manual verification. The process involves:
- Submission of official registration details (e.g., Trust Deed, Society Registration, or Section 8 Company details).
- Verification of the primary contact person associated with the organisation.
- Cross-referencing with local administration records where available.
Verified NGOs can view detailed relief requests, create medical camps, and manage volunteer assignments.
2. Doctors and Medical Personnel
Medical professionals must prove their credentials to access medical requests and patient triage data:
- Submission of Medical Council Registration Number (for allopathic doctors) or equivalent regulatory body registration.
- Verification of active practice status.
Verified medical personnel can accept patient cases, conduct consultations, prescribe medications, and initiate hospital referrals.
3. Hospitals and Medical Facilities
Hospitals are onboarded through direct contact with our team or local government health departments:
- Verification of the facility's clinical establishment license.
- Designation of authorized administrative accounts to manage capacity updates (bed count, oxygen, blood).
Verified hospitals can receive and accept incoming patient referrals from field doctors.
4. Pharmacies
Pharmacies must be registered businesses to list inventory on the platform:
- Submission of a valid drug license or pharmacy registration number.
- Verification of business location.
Verified pharmacies can broadcast stock availability and accept incoming medicine requests.
5. Volunteers
Individual volunteers undergo a lighter verification process compared to institutions:
- Phone number verification via OTP.
- For specific specialized tasks (e.g., medical volunteering or driving), NGOs may require further in-person verification before assigning tasks.
Volunteers can accept general tasks assigned by verified NGOs but cannot view sensitive medical triage data independently.
6. Expedited Verification During Disasters
During an active disaster (such as severe flooding), standard verification timelines are expedited. We work closely with district administrations and established partner NGOs to rapidly verify local resources through trusted community networks.
7. Revocation of Status
ArogyaRelief reserves the right to revoke verified status and suspend accounts immediately if a user is found to be submitting false information, misusing platform data, or violating our Community Guidelines.
